Crashing The Party

Today I’m crashing my first party.

 The Bead Soup Blog Party.

I was unable to officially sign up for the Bead Soup Blog Party and get a partner because I was on vacation in the woods of WI with no internet access when Lori had her party signups.  I sent Lori an email prior to my leaving letting her know I wanted to join the party but I did not have access to her new form.  A family emergency kept her away from from her email for a few days and she received my email after the deadline had passed.   Lori generously sent me some bead soup from her own stash so I could play along and sort of crash the party.  Very sweet of her! That’s Lori.

I neglected to take a picture of the soup before I got started…  Oops.  The silver toggle clasp and ceramic focal were from Lori’s stash.  I filled in the rest from my stash.

I kept it simple and short and just slightly asymetrical so this unique Shaterra Clay Studio pendant would truly stand out.  I added the silver chain, aqua terra jasper barrel beads and light chalcedony faceted rondelles.

Thanks for stopping by.  If you are here and have never heard of The Bead Soup Blog Party before and you want to learn more about it or if you would like to see 362 other unique jewelry designs then you must go here.  It will be an amazing journey.

Thanks for indulging my party crashing & have fun blog hopping.

  1. I love the color palette here! So fresh and lively. Sorry you missed the sign ups but were still able to crash the party. And we do get internet in Wisconsin. It is not all boonies up here! Just sayin’… 😉
    Enjoy the day!
    Erin

  2. I am so happy to be today here – I love what you did and I love asymetrical “simple” designs and yours is lovely.

Sorry for being so late – I was on holidays and a lot of work was waiting for me after returning home.

Have a sunny day, xxoxx Manuela

  3. I love this necklace!
I love pretties, but often can’t find just what I’m dreaming of, so this craft-challenged gal has occasionally dreamed of making my own.
I love your blog & your jewelin’ style, and you have inspired me to try my hand at this. I’ll share any future successes.

  4. What a really lovely necklace!
It’s a shame you weren’t able to signup, but I’m so glad you got to participate in any case. Lori is such a sweetheart! Well done!

  5. Tracey, I really like how your used the soup! I have been into making the longer necklace but love your length. I have a couple of focals that I might have to try with your style. Beautiful!

  6. Tracy, this is wonderful! I love the color palette and your necklace looks so elegant on! Interesting chain of events that happened that prevented you from being partnered up in the Bead Soup Party. So glad you were able to attend the party anyway and technically you didn’t really crash it. Don’t think you’re the party crashing type. 🙂

  7. I am SO sorry for being late — today our internet provider decided to crash. My stress level is through the roof, to say the least! They’re still working on it, but it’s like dial-up.

I am SO GLAD you made something! That was a really WOW pendant but I just knew you would be able to do something with it. I wanted the toggle to be large enough to support that size and the square fit, too. I love the beads you chose as accents, and it looks great on you!

    I hope you’ll participate again!

    Love, Lori

    • You are not late Lori! Won’t you be doing this for like several days – slow internet or not? Thanks for stopping by. Hope your internet gets working fast again soon!

  8. Beautiful piece. I love the colors. Lori is so generous. I love how you picked up the toggle pattern in the silver flower you layered over the ceramic pendant. I’m Bead Soup partying…stop by.

  9. Lovely statement piece. Rocking colors.

  10. It’s gorgeous, Miss Party Crasher! : )

Having seen your other work, it’s fun to see how you kept the floral elements that usually appear in your work, but really branched out in terms of color.

  11. Tracy – that’s so pretty!! It’s pefect!

  12. Lorimrocks, so does your necklace:-)

  13. That is a beautiful and unusual pendant, love how your necklace highlights its beauty.
